Running your department, office, or club website can be a challenge. Lafayette’s new Web Community of Practice — wants to help. At monthly informal lunchtime sessions we’ll provide a forum to learn about best practices for the care and feeding of your website, ask the questions that have been bugging you, and find out about the College’s ongoing web redesign, which launches in Summer 2015.

The Web Community of Practice will hold its first meeting 12 p.m.-1 p.m., April 9, 2015 in Room 003 of Skillman Library. Food will be provided.

Subsequent meetings will also be held in Room 003, Skillman Library and are scheduled for the following dates and times:

  • 12 p.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, May 21
  • 12 p.m.-1 p.m.,  Thursday, June 4
  • 12 p.m.-1 p.m.,  Thursday, July 9
  • 12 p.m.-1 p.m.,  Thursday, August 6

Topics we intend to cover include how to track traffic to your website, how to improve your website’s accessibility for users with disabilities, and how to solve common web content challenges like photo galleries and podcasts.
