The Lehigh Valley is getting its own WordCamp! The one-day WordPress-focused conference — called WordCamp Lehigh Valley — is being held July 16, 2016 at Northampton Community College. The hashtag for the event is #wclvpa.
Like other WordCamps, WordCamp Lehigh Valley looks to be a great opportunity to get together and talk about their work with the open source content management system as well as get new ideas about how use the tool at work or at home.
Folks from ITS and Communications Division have attended a number of WordCamps over the years, including events in Philadelphia, Boston, and New York City. This is the first time that one is being held in the Lehigh Valley. Organizers are anticipating about 100 people will attend.
The event is looking for speakers. According to the site, sessions will be 40 minutes, with 25-30 minutes allotted for your talk and 10-15 minutes for Q&A and further discussion.
